Teresia Fant delivers an impressive short film with a clear moral message. It looks at the illegal activities of activist group Empty Cages, which works towards a society without animals living in cages. The protagonists want to affect positive change by openly liberating pigs, hens and fish from factory farms and putting them in loving homes.

Fant compares the activists’ viewpoint with the opinions of the people around them and encourages us to consider what value society places on the lives of animals.

Is non-violent civil disobedience to right approach to advance the struggle for animal rights? How far must activists and social movements go to achieve their goals?
